Globalisation

1.
Difference between Then and now
In my time, when I was still in school, in my opinion the integration or globalization wasn’t an issue. There were simply teaches all children equally. For those who had not been long in Austria, there were already integrated classes. In these classes, children without a foreign mother tongue and children with a foreign mother tongue were taught together.
Unfortunately in my class, it was more or less no matter where we came from. Because my family is originally from Macedonia. In the Past I always was ashamed of myself. Now I have the feeling that many children are proud. It just keeps getting more important, and thus it is shown to the children that there is something special to come from another country.
In my first practice school I had approximately 90% of children from other EU countries. Here I saw for the first time that other cultures were involved. They talk about Lent among Muslims, about Christmas in other countries, etc.
I also found it very nice that everyone could say something about it, because everyone has different experiences.
For example in my school time I was at the Christmas time rather passive in school. It didn’t matter what religion I had.
Today there are just a lot of projects already in the schools, where it is about this issue and I think it's very important because it should get normalcy.

2.
Communication
It’s an exchange between two or more persons. It could be verbal or nonverbal. So it means that the mimic, gestures and body language are also part of communication. All in all everybody communicates every time.

  1. Kiki,
You have been successful in designing your blog. Congratulations!

Here is feedback to you on the theme “Globalization”
Concerning task 1 which is ..:”Reflect on this quote: Globalization can ... be define as the intensification of worldwide social relations which link distant localities in such a way that local happenings are shaped by events occurring many miles away and vice versa.' (Anthony Giddens, former director of London School of Economics).

You have described and reflected on what globalization and professional change in schools you know, ... later in this course you will also focus on "Global Citizenship".

Concerning task 2 which is ..:”Write core concepts from this challenge with definitions” “ In this section you collect 3-7 core concepts from each challenge to form your personal glossary on globalization.

FURTHERMORE, the section called ”Glossary” is designed for other words than the core concepts, that are new to you, and you yourself consider important to learn.

I see that you have started writing chosen core concepts

As far as I can see you have not jet started your “Glossary”. Therefore I have a proposal to you: See Aimee Mcafee´s blog under "Globalization" and under "Glossary" for inspiration.

    Yours
